Quiet Peace was inspired by two beautiful experiences that came together in one memory.
After visiting the Art Gallery of Ontario, I was deeply inspired by Claude Monet’s water lilies. Soon after, I traveled to Northern Ontario, where my family and I stayed in a small cottage by a quiet lake surrounded by forest. The lake was covered with water lilies, and every day we went out by boat, surrounded by this peaceful and almost untouched beauty.
I had never experienced a place that felt so calm, quiet, and peaceful. That feeling stayed with me and became the beginning of my water lily series.
With this painting, I wanted to share that sense of stillness — the beauty of nature, the silence of the lake, and the feeling of complete peace.
