Peaceful Waters - A New Painting from My Water Lilies Series

I’m excited to introduce my new painting, “Peaceful Waters,” from my Water Lilies series.

This painting was inspired by Claude Monet’s water lilies, which I had the chance to see at the Art Gallery of Ontario. I was deeply moved by the atmosphere in his work — the softness, the light, the reflections, and that incredible feeling of peace.

Later, during a trip to Northern Ontario, I stayed in a cottage right by a quiet lake filled with water lilies. Being surrounded by that beauty made my connection to this subject even stronger. The still water, the silence, the reflections, and the peaceful rhythm of nature stayed with me long after the trip.

I wanted to bring that feeling onto the canvas — a sense of calm, quiet beauty, and a moment where everything seems to slow down.

I hope this painting gives you a little of the same feeling.

What do you feel when you look at “Peaceful Waters”? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
